The Colonial Players traveled to New York City yesterday for their annual Broadway trip. This year over 50 members of the group drove up, had dinner at Ellen's Stardust Diner and then took in the just opened, Tony nominated, "School of Rock", starring Alex Brightman and a talented ensemble of child musician/actors.
Last night at the 11th Annual Greater Philadelphia Cappies Awards, the ladies of Aida brought home a sweep of the musical awards. Rachel Butcher, Lauren Quigley and Federica Andino-Vega brought home the trophies for Featured, Supporting, and Lead Actress in a Musical, respectively. The Colonial Players hosted their annual Closing Night event this evening. The night is designed to celebrate the successes of the year and bid a fond farewell to our graduating seniors.
